6 days holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr, NCOC issues guidelines

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has issued guidelines for the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

According to NCOC notification, public holidays will be observed from May 10 to 15 this year on account of Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to the guidelines, it was emphasized that the ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’ strategy should be implemented from May 8 to 16.

The NCOC said that the purpose of most holidays is to limit national transport during Eid.

According to the NCOC, the guidelines for Yom-e-Ali, Shab-e-Qadr, Itikaf, and Jumu’ah-e-Wada ‘will be implemented from May 1.

As per the notification,  henna, jewelery, clothing stalls, entertainment venues, public parks, shopping malls will be closed from May 8 to 16.

Furthermore, the recreational areas and surrounding hotels will also remain closed.

According to the guidelines, inter-provincial, inter, and intercity public transports will be banned. While private cars, rickshaws, and taxis will be allowed with 50 percent rides.

Similarly, additional trains will be run across the country till May 7.

However, food shops, medical stores, and petrol pumps will remain open during Eid.

Meanwhile, food will be allowed to be taken from restaurants, and the power supply will continue uninterrupted during the Eid holidays.
